Fake Air Force Officer Arrested Inside Puri Jagannath Temple

In a major security breach, a 52-year-old man from Rajasthan was arrested by the Enforcement Squad of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration for allegedly impersonating an Indian Air Force officer to gain entry into the Jagannath Temple. The accused, identified as Bhupendra Kumar Purohit, reportedly entered the temple wearing an Air Force-style uniform with badges and carrying a fake Indian Air Force identity card. He allegedly posed as an Air Force officer to deceive security personnel and gain unrestricted access to the temple. The accused was intercepted inside the temple premises by the SJTA Enforcement Squad. During the investigation, police recovered a fake Air Force ID card, an Army-style uniform, Air Force badges, a name plate, a belt, an embroidered pilot badge, and other counterfeit insignia. A case has been registered at Singhadwar Police Station under relevant sections of the BNS. The accused has been arrested, forwarded to court, and further investigation is underway.
