Decomposed Body of 24-Year-Old Recovered from Puri-Konark Beach, Probe Underway

A decomposed body of a 24-year-old youth, identified as Ajay Kumar Patajoshi of Acharya Vihar, Bhubaneswar, was recovered from the beach across the Kushabhadra River near Tikna village on the Puri-Konark marine drive. Police, assisted by the scientific team and fire services, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. Authorities are investigating the case from all angles to determine whether the death was a murder or suicide.

Puri, Konark: The decomposed body of a 24-year-old youth was recovered from the beach on the other side of the Kushabhadra river near Tikna village on the Puri-Konark Bela Marg. A case of murder or suicide was being investigated in the locality as the incident was being investigated.

On receiving information about the incident, Chandrabhaga police immediately reached the spot and informed the Puri Scientific Team and Champahar Fire Brigade. The help of the Fire Brigade's power rubber boat was taken to cross the Kushabhadra river. Later, Chandrabhaga IIC, police personnel and the scientific team reached the spot and examined the body.

During the examination, an Aadhaar card was found in the pocket of the deceased. From it, it was revealed that the name of the deceased youth is Ajay Kumar Patajoshi, age 24 and his residence is in Acharya Bihar area of Bhubaneswar.

Police have seized the body and sent it to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. The exact cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report. Whether it is murder or suicide, the police are investigating from various angles.
