Puri : A woman was allegedly injured in a domestic dispute in Naranpur village under Brahmagiri police station in Puri district. It is alleged that after a dispute between the husband and wife over the cooking, the husband Bulu Mallick slapped his wife Jasmita Mallick and attacked her on the chest.

It is reported that the injured Jasmita reached the Puri district headquarters hospital in an auto with the help of her neighbor and is undergoing treatment at the women's surgery department. After the incident, it became a topic of discussion in the local area and concerns have been expressed about the incident of domestic violence.

On the other hand, it is alleged that when journalists went to the district headquarters hospital to get information about the health condition and treatment of the injured woman, they did not get proper answers. There was a lack of coordination in providing information as the doctors asked the nursing staff to ask the nursing staff again while the information was being sent to the doctor.

The police informed that no complaint had been filed with the Brahmagiri police regarding the incident.
