Puri, 01/09: Road Safety Week has begun in Puri. This special campaign has been started to prevent road accidents and make drivers aware of traffic rules.
On this occasion, today, a joint inspection of vehicles was conducted by the Puri Regional Transport Department and Puri Traffic Police Station near Harekrushnapur square. During the inspection, the helmets, driving licenses and necessary documents of the two-wheeler drivers were checked, as well as the permits of the buses.
The officials checked whether the buses were operating as per the rules, focusing on the safety of the passengers.
Puri Traffic IIC Sangeta Das and Puri Regional Transport Department Traffic inCharge Santosh Kumar Patra along with departmental employees were present in today's inspection.
Officials have advised drivers to strictly follow road safety rules, including wearing helmets, maintaining proper vehicle documents, and obeying traffic rules.
