Final Coordination Meeting, Puri Gears Up for Rath Yatra 2026 with 'Zero Error, Zero Casualty' Mission

The Odisha government held the third and final Rath Yatra Coordination Committee meeting in Puri under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to review security, crowd management, traffic, sanitation and emergency preparedness. With the objective of ensuring a safe, smooth and incident-free Jagannath Rath Yatra 2026, all departments presented their action plans under the "Zero Error, Zero Casualty" mission.

The third and final Rath yatra Coordination Committee meeting was held in Puri today to make final preparations for the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath to be held on July 16. The meeting, held at the Puri Town Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sri Mohan Charan Majhi, discussed in detail how to make the Rath Yatra orderly, safe and smooth.

Starting from the construction of the Rath, all issues such as Nitikanti, devotees' proper darshan, crowd control, traffic management, sanitation, law and order and emergency services are being reviewed in today's meeting. Keeping in mind the possible huge gathering of devotees this year, each department presented its action plan report to the Chief Minister.

The Chief Secretary, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers of various departments, MLAs of Puri district, Chief Administrator of Shrimandir, District Collector, SP, Shrimandir administration, employees, intellectuals and media representatives were present in this meeting.

 To avoid a repeat of last year's tragic incident, the government is finalizing all preparations with the goal of "Zero Error, Zero Casualty". The Chief Minister said that coordination among all departments is being given utmost importance to make the Rath Yatra safe, peaceful and successful.
